Artistic Description

Mia is a contemporary circus artist from Valais, Switzerland, currently based in Valencia, Spain. Her work blends aerial hoop, silks, handstand and dance into a poetic language of movement. She performs internationally at festivals, events and in unique settings such as glaciers, highlines or urban landscapes. Her art invites a sense of freedom, connection and transformation through the body. Inspired by nature, risk and aesthetic beauty, she creates evocative, sensory imagery. Mia also shares her artistic vision on social media and advocates for creative presence in public space.

Education

Mia holds a BsC degree in physiotherapy (Switzerland, 2019), with a strong focus on body awareness and movement. Since 2023, she has been studying contemporary circus at CREAT Circus School in Valencia. Her training includes aerial disciplines (hoop, silk), handstand, dance, improvisation and stage presence. There she is also a cilincal practicioner and gives lectures for injury prevention. In both disciplines physiotherapy and circus arts she‘s constantly educating herself further. Therefore she has developed  a specialization in shoulder rehabilitation and Dry Needling. By combining therapeutic knowledge with artistic exploration, her style becomes technically grounded, physically intelligent and creatively free.
